Many methods of Physical Therapy intervention have been
developed to address coordination in children with
neuromotor disorders. Treatment takes the form of exercise
methods from a motor-learning perspective, postural control
exercise, and use of constraint-induced therapy. Physical
Therapists also will determine the benefits of applying
specific methods via the use of externally applied devices
such as orthoses, electrical stimulation, wraps, and taping,
aiming to alter coordination during movement.
